Wonderful day at Wiseley!

On Monday we visited Wiseley gardens in Surrey we had a wonderful day. There was much to see we did not manage to see everything.
There were so many colourful and interesting plants to look at and smell!
The rose garden was particularly smelly! In a good way of course…
Other highlights were the wild flower meadow and the tropical glass house which was very very hot but well worth it.

We took lots of photos I hope they give a good idea of what we saw.

New Scarecrows in 2013

We made two scarecrows called Bernard and Bianca.
We think they will do a good job at our allotment keeping the birds away.
We  put Bianca at the top plot and Bernard the bottum plot, next to our new fruit bushes.
They are life sized and everybody at the allotment seems to like them.

These are our lino prints we took inspiration from still life drawings that we have done of shells and flowers.

Mr Francis William Mantell

I like coming to the art workshops. I have done art half of my life so far.
We all feel fantastic to do the art workshops, i really enjoy digital art like i do at home.
I have learnt new skills with the lino  cutting/printing and using the lino press.
We are lucky to have Gemma to come and work with us she  is a very talented artist.
